Conversion System Case Study: Personalized Giveaways

More than double the purchases and more than double the return, without doubling the spend.

The Challenge

The client had been running ads for a while, but growth had started to plateau. Despite spending ₱271,332 over the year, conversions stayed low.

The ad account was reaching people and generating clicks, but too few of them were turning into actual purchases. The business wasn't short on traffic or budget. They needed a system that could turn that spend into predictable, repeatable sales.

What I Found

The problem wasn't the ad account. The real issue was upstream of the numbers. The messaging, the creatives, and the targeting weren't built around who was actually buying. The ads were speaking to a general audience instead of the specific person behind every personalized gift order.

Using my framework, I mapped what was driving and blocking the purchase decision for that buyer:

  • Pain: what frustration they were trying to solve by giving a gift
  • Aspiration: what giving this gift said about them as the giver
  • Trust Barrier: what made them hesitate before checking out
  • Hidden Motivation: the real emotional driver behind choosing a personalized gift over a generic one

That gap between who the ads were talking to and who was actually buying was the leak.

What We Changed

Instead of testing more creatives blindly, I rebuilt the conversion system around one thing: our target audiences.

Every decision had one goal, to make the message feel like it was written for the exact person seeing it.

The Results

The shift wasn't about spending more. It was about spending on the right thing.

Conversion Insight

Understanding the buyer is what produced the result.

Once the messaging, creatives, and targeting were all built around who was actually buying, and not just anyone in the market, the same budget started converting at a completely different rate.
